Yesterday I received a package from a great California company, DNL Photo Packaging.  I was thrilled to see my lovely logo imprinted in silver on the aqua blue boxes. It’s like another “imprint” of another step forward in my new business. Thank you, Lord, for your provisions.

An extreme inspiration to me this year as I’ve started my photography business, is photographer Sarah Rhoads in Seattle.  She simply discovers the value in people and exposes that through photography.  I believe Sarah is so good at this because she’s first discovered the value of who she is and maintains a humble heart along the way; and all the while, possibly without knowing, she deposits a little bit of her wonder-self in others around her, which perpetuates the motivation to value others. This is what her work has done for me -stirs in me to value myself and others around me for who we are and what we have to give to each other.  May my work always give to others more than they deserve and more than they expect… because they are worth it! ;)
Sarah has extended the invitation to all to submit their self-portrait to her before Dec. 20th and she’ll post them before the new year. (email her at consulting@sarahrhoads.com) Here is my 2009 self-portrait. Thanks so much, Sarah!  May God bless you and your business even more!

A friend of mine posted an adorable moment she captured with her DSLR and posted it on facebook.  I just couldn’t help but steal the image and give it a “pop.”  Check out what I did in about three minutes (unusual, as it usually takes me much longer!)  And of course, I told my friend I stole it… so that exempts me from any copyright laws, right? ha.  Don’t hurt me, Liz! :)

A wonderful writer friend I met in North Carolina has chosen to interview me!  Again, you’ll learn even more about me and my nonprofit organization, Star Shooter.  Have a look by clicking HERE.  Thank You!

I am very pleased to have been interviewed by Amanda K. Photography! “Katie” is an amazing photographer and I am more than honored to be supported by her!  This interview was so incredibly fun for me.  You can probably learn a new thing or two about me as well as my vision for Star Shooter… check it out HERE.  And thanks for reading!

My graphic designer could be yours!  She totally should.  Erica Costa is swift, skilled and just plain GOOD.  Do you see my new logo/branding mark on the top of this blog?  She did it!

Read the recommendation I wrote and posted on her Linkedin profile:

“Three words that come to mind after working with Erica:
1) PATIENT. Erica constantly overwhelmed me with her sense of interest in me and my company, and demonstrated incredible patience from beginning to end.
2) INTUITIVE. Erica devoted impeccable attention to my company’s needs and what my desires were for a logo design. The final outcome displayed her true insight into me as a person and what I wanted to create my company to be.
3) TRAIL BLAZER. Not only is Erica blazing her own trails as a graphic designer, but she helps in blazing YOUR trail as well! Erica opened my mind past what I could see… and literally transformed my perspective of what I thought I wanted and needed in a logo for my company! The end result is more than perfect! Thank You Erica!”
