Amanda Slayman: I hope this link works. It should take you to Amanda Slayman's profile. I became a fan of your photography page and I really like the way you do your lighting, for instance the one on this page main page here is really cool. So my significant other and I would love to have a beach themed photoshoot, and since we live here in Florida with tons of beaches we thought that could work. We're thinking not so much of a classy photoshoot, just a fun, colorful photoshoot. I mean really we're open to anything, this idea just sounds cool in my head, who knows what it would be like in reality haha. Here's a link to a picture that is kind of like what I have in my headhttp://blogi.murakamiphotography.co.uk/blog/2008/aw_hengistbury_head_beach_huts.jpg p.s. when I say beachy I don't mean like the ocean in the background, I just mean beachy, if you get what I mean. Oh and I probably should add I also don't mean bathing suit pictures, but the link to that picture probably helped you figure out more along the lines of what I meant by "beachy". Like Colton and I walking together eating colorful icecream in an icecream cone with my little red or pink or yellow converses on and his little converses on, and we're just walking along a road that has little surf shops down the road and we're holding hands laughing and smiling. I'm just trying to help you get a vision of what I mean. But I think that would be a very fun photoshoot and I've never done a -relaxed- sytle photoshoot they've always been more serious and I want to allow my true self in little converses to come out in pictures. Hope you consider this photoshoot idea and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. By the way, thanks for becoming a fan of colton cranston's music!!!
admin: Awesome, Amanda! Thanks! Sounds fabulous and fun! Where exactly are you in Florida? I noticed you mentioned Titusville, but mapquest didn't find that. ..thanks.
Katerina Ogden: So either way if I win or not I was gonna give you a call. ( I need pics of my baby) Renita says you are fantastic, and you are after seeing your stuff I am a fan of J. My idea is integrating our story into the pictures. We met helping homeless people in downtown KC. We were the couple that always took his street bike out on dates, and then we got married at Longview mansion. We get to live happily ever after in this cool 100 yr old stone house I prayed for years to live in. I thought to cap it off we add our 5 month old son into it. With a "all because two people fell in love" theme. Since we still live in KC we could go to the different sites I mentioned above and use the motorcycle in some shots too.
Joanna Reyburn: I got engaged YESTERDAY and I'm in Kansas City! My fiance J.May and I are getting married on May 1, and we only have a handful of pictures together (from last year - they are on my facebook). It would mean so much to me to have a couple romantic, affectionate, whimsical, sunlight-touched and nature filled photos that really say "hey, we're so in love" (cause we really are) to capture this Valentines which is so unbelievably special this year. I love your vintage washes, framing and use of light. Lush, that's the word I would use. J.May and I love Kansas City. Brookside, the Plaza, Loose Park - not because it's cliche and where everybody gets their pictures taken, but because it's where we had our first date, where we cried together on a park bench, and where we walk the dog in warm weather. We met in this city, we fell in love here. Our future is here, and we are the urban meets the Victorian. Wow, that sounds like a lot of pressure for a couple photos, but I do really like your work, and think we should totally WIN! P.S I also LOVE that your website plays my friend Kristene Mueller and some of my other favorite female vocalists of all time.
Courtney Wetzel: Well.... Im not great at the ideas, thats why I love photographers like you because you think outside the box (or should I say out side the studio!). But I do know that I love the picture that you have posted for this giveaway. I love fun, creative, and intimate pictures. The ones where you almost dont know the camera is there! A few ideas that I have are dancing in a field, or Jerahme and I kissing with our kids acting crazy around us. A picture that I want to imprint on their hearts, that mommy and daddy came first and will always be in-love first!!! I love the pictures that have a soft, fuzzy (almost painted) look! I just would love some sweet, first love type of pictures!
Mark Stagi: Beautiful image, love that light
Liz Bentley: Oh, I don't know what I want. So many fun ideas to chose from. I think I would like to dress up in a fancy, flowy dress, with my husband in a suit, very whimsical, very old world, very vintage.
Steve Panzica: Would love to surprise my girl with this. I have always been a fan of black and white photography and would love to do a serious of gritty kind of mechanical or industrial backgrounds. Something urban and yet beautiful and able to convey her and I's love of the city, scooters and how we fell in love. Maybe even incorporate a timeless Vespa Roman Holiday kind of theme too? I dont know am I too all over the board?
dena wilson: There are lots of people who take good pictures, but there are few who can actually capture someones spirit/heart in the photos. That is a gift from God that I think you have been given. So, my dream photo shoot would be one that could caputre our (my and Tim's) heart for each other. Not sure how that would look, but I know how it feels. It is a feeling of playful love, mystery, adventure, depth, change, and an eternal commitment. To caputure those living feelings in a still photo would be my "dreamy love photo session."
dena wilson: Johnna what part of Ga are you going to be in in April? I will be in Atlanta around Easter....if you are there maybe we can hire you to do a shoot with my extended family -my sister's family-2 adults 2 kids, and my parents plus all of us Wilsons. That would be fun!!
admin: Dena! That could possibly work! I don't have any set plans of dates yet, but YES i'll be going through Atlanta! Let's talk! :)
dena wilson: I will talk to my family, they have been interested in doing something after they saw our pictures. P.S. if I win the contest, I would love to have my pictures done in Atlanta...it is where I grew up and it holds a very special place in my heart!
Aimee': I have been a fan of your photography ever since I added you on here and started looking at your work. I check your photography website and starshooter website often to see what's new :o). I believe that you have a gift from God and he is using you to touch lives with your photography. I would love for you to photograph Dustin and I. You know we just recently got engaged and haven't had any pics taken of ourselves since our engagement. I would love for you to capture all the details that make our relationship wonderful. All the little things that I know you can create to make some remarkable photographs. I would love for our pictures to be taken outside in the snow (I know that may be difficult but it would be really neat). Like a "stroll on the winter wonderlands". Playful, outdoorsy, snowball fights. I honestly can't tell you exactly the dreamy love photo session that we want because I want this to have your artistic flare. That is why I was so excited to see you were doing this because I love your style of photography and I know whatever you take of us will be awesome.
Melissa Childress: My boyfriend and I have been together almost two years now, and as an amatuer photographer i've taken several pictures of him, including his senior photos, and he has drawn many different views of me, but alas neither of us can seem to capture us together (i'm hopeless with a tripod and he refuses to draw himself). We both have really wanted to have pictures taken together but money is tight as only college kids eating ramen noodles five nights a week can understand. We both love the forest and city and would love to have an adventerous photo shoot including getting in the fountains, running and jumping shoots (and as he reads over my shoulder) lots of "intriguing gradients and colors." WE can climb trees and jump down banks for lots of interesting angles, and would love that as well. I don't know if this is in the time frame you were imagining because it would almost have to be a spring or summer shoot, but I think we all could have a lot of fun, which is how our relationship is, therefore how our dream shoot would be. Thank you for taking your time to run this contest and to read all of our mushy love stories! Hope to talk with you soon.
Courtney Ashbaker: My boyfriend and I have been dating since high school. We have always wanted to have a professional photo shoot done together, but we are college students and don't have a lot of money. We live in Branson, MO but we thought we could come to Kansas City if we won. We love being goofy and we are always giving each other a hard time, so we thought it would be fun to go around Worlds of Fun and take pictures using all the different colors and rides there. We also want to do some water shots in formal attire, something so that we would look very fancy next to the backdrop. Another big thing with us is we love to get messy and dance, so I was thinking maybe we could paint each other get our clothes messy, and you could take some pictures of us dancing. Maybe we could do some shots of his motorcycle too. I want at least one night shot if that is possible, the stars are a special thing between us, its an inside story but we want to have a picture of us under the stars or in front of a sunset. Thank you so much for this opportunity, this is such a fun and romantic idea! Here is a link to my profile too: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/court.crash?ref=profile
Rachel Estes: Love this photo! I really need to get some done for my website and my husband and I haven't had photos since our wedding (our anniversary is the 20th). :)
admin: Thank you, Rachel! and thank you ALL for participating in this exciting event! I am LOVING all the comments! :)
admin: Wow, Brynn-Marie! That is impressively beautiful!
Brynn-Marie Kloster: / An island so dreamy / Covered in white sand / A sunset so beautiful / Walking hand in hand / One covenant of love / Expressed with a vow / Seems all too small / In comparison to now / Our love it was simple / And easy to see / Untethered expressions of young, wild and free / But oh how it's grown / As the years have gone by / Through thick and through thin / Still a twinkle in your eye / Twas easy to capture / A photo or two / Of one man and one woman / While saying "I do" / But capturing that twinkle / That has grown even more / Is the essence of love / Straight down to the core / The background of a photo / Would pale in comparison to the two / For love is found in hearts / No matter the venue / ~Brynn-Marie Kloster, February 10, 2010
Brynn-Marie Kloster: thank you... just like your photos. ;)
Phil Kloster: I'm passionate about a lot of things such as living space design, home usability, green within reason, sports, family, and marriages. Somehow, photography is in the mix - not because I aspire to become a photog but because I appreciate the creativity and skill shutterbugs possess. Do I deserve to win anything? Probably not. My wife and I have been married for several years. We have some nice wedding photos, engagement pics, etc. So, I'll be just as happy to see one of these young couples in love featured in a blog post. But my wife deserves it. She's an incredible mother, Christian, and helpmate. Plus she's gorgeous and photogenic. If you don't fall for young love, give the prize to Brynn Marie.
Johnna Brynn: Congratulations, Mr. Steve Panzica! You are the winner! See latest blog post for details... http://johnnabrynnblog.com. And a BIG THANK YOU TO ALL who participated!
